On Thursday angry fans booed Madonna at an intimate gig at the Olympia Theatre in Paris. The show, a last minute addition to her tour, was much shorter than expected. Madonna performed an eight-song set concluding with a cover of Serge Gainsbourg’s “Je T’aime…Mon Non Plus.” The show concluded approximately 45 minutes after Madonna walked on stage.

The abbreviated performance left many fans, who had paid €80 ($99) to €120 ($148) for the coveted tickets, feeling short-changed.

A video of the event posted on YouTube shows fans chanting “Remboursez!” which is French for “We want our money back,” and throwing plastic water bottles on the stage. Fans can also be heard shouting “Salope!” which translates to “slut” or “whore.”

The show was streamed live via YouTube. The channel on which it was streamed disabled comments Friday morning. The concert video had 12,000 dislikes and 10,000 likes. The rebroadcast cuts off just before Madonna leaves the stage.

The concert was intended to promote tolerance after Madonna’s last concert in Paris on Bastille Day. At that performance she displayed an image of French National Front leader Marine Le Pen with a swastika superimposed on her face.
