Zara Phillips was today awarded her Olympic medal by her mother, the Princess Royal, as the British equestrian team won silver in the eventing at Greenwich.
Miss Phillips has become the first member of the royal family to win an Olympic medal after Team GB claimed silver in the team three-day eventing competition.
Princess Anne grasped the shoulders of her daughter and kissed her on both cheeks as she presented her with her silver medal on the podium.
