During every debate, reporters are inundated with hundreds of emails containing campaign information.

Candidate A says he voted against something — and then the campaign of candidate B emails reporters to prove his opponent actually voted for it (before he voted against it), etc. You get the picture.

That’s about to change. Romney’s debate rapid response will happen on Twitter.

From Team Romney:

For those covering the debate please be sure to follow @RomneyResponse on Twitter (https://twitter.com/RomneyResponse), which will be the main vehicle for our official Rapid Response during the debate.

… This Twitter account will link you to our Romney Response Tumblr, which will feature Rapid Response beyond Twitter’s 140 characters. http://romneyresponse.tumblr.com/

We have also just released a new microsite, http://debates.mittromney.com/, will be the official hub of our debate rapid response, fact-checking the Obama campaign, and for posts supporting our messaging.

This, of course, means that you can also follow along in real time…
