In the first notable exchange of the third presidential debate, President Barack Obama hit Mitt Romney for what he claimed was the former Massachusetts governor’s view that Russia is America’s number one international foe.

“Russia, I indicated, is a geopolitical foe. And I said in the same paragraph — I said, ‘Iran is the greatest national security threat we face.'”

“I have clear eyes on this,” Romney continued, “I’m not going to wear rose-colored glasses when it comes to Russia or Mr. Putin. I’m I’m certianly not going to say to him, “I’ll give you more flexibility after the election.’ After the election he’ll get more backbone.”
