Reporters treated to free beer and grub before presidential debate

BOCA RATON, Fla. — Before President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney square off in the final presidential debate Monday night, the press is being treated to free food and beer, courtesy of Budweiser.

In a tent adjacent to the press filing center and spin room, Budweiser is sponsoring a meal for the press which features pineapple chicken curry and key lime pie.

And to wash it down, there’s a bar serving free beer, in addition to buckets filled with bottles of water and cans of soda.

Budweiser even has a brewmaster on location to serve tastings of three prototype beers for reporters.

Whether reporters should be drinking on the job, well, that’s another question altogether.
