After his meme-worthy performance at the Republican National Convention, Clint Eastwood is back stumping for Mitt Romney, this time in a new campaign ad.
Eastwood stars in an ad from super-PAC American Crossroads that starts airing Wednesday in, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, Ohio and Virginia, the New York Times reports.
“Obama’s second term would be a rerun of the first, and our country just couldn’t survive that,” Eastwood says in the 30-second spot. “We need someone who could turn it around fast, and that man is Mitt Romney. There’s not much time left, and the future of our country is at stake.”
The legendary actor told the Times that he wanted to be apart of the ad because he is “concerned for our country.”
“I really believe Mitt Romney is the kind of leader we need right now,” Eastwood continued. “He’s an experienced businessman, and he knows how to work with people to fix problems. It’s time to give someone else a chance to fix our country.”
