The cast of characters that spent five seasons on the Jersey Shore, made fist-pumping a pop culture phenomenon and made the term “guido” socially acceptable again, expressed sorrow over the “devastating” damage done to their home away from home.

Coastal New Jersey was heavily impacted by Hurricane Sandy. Gov. Chris Christie said Tuesday that the destruction to the Jersey Shore was “unthinkable” and much of the area was underwater and still without power.

“Sandy destroyed Seaside – our second home. It’s devastating to see our boardwalk and favorite spots ruined. My prayers go out to everyone affected by the storm,” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi said in a statement to The Daily Caller.

Jenny “JWOWW” Farley told “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno host about the damage done to the home she and her fiancee own in Toms River, New Jersey.

“Fixable, I want to say. It’s really, it like hurts the heart a lot. It’s really kind of devastating,” JWOWW said, according to the Associated Press. “But as long as like my dogs, Roger’s safe, my friends are safe, we’re just all without power.”

Vinny Guadagnino, who lives on Staten Island, N.Y., tweeted that the area looked like a “war zone” after the storm.

JWOWW, Vinny and DJ Pauly D have all asked their Twitter followers to donate money to the American Red Cross.
