Former president George W. Bush is “fired up” to become a first-time grandfather.
His oldest daughter Jenna Bush Hager, 31, announced that she and husband Henry are expecting on the “Today Show” Tuesday, where she is a frequent correspondent. The teacher got emotional when talking about her pregnancy, saying that she is “so excited and obviously nervous … but it’s something I’ve always wanted.”
Jenna’s dad called in to the show to share in the excitement.
“Yeah, I’m fired up!,” the former president said in his Texan drawl. Bush said he is “looking forward to it,” and that he “could barely contain the news when I found out” and he is now excited to share the news with all his “buddies.”
