Despite a surveillance camera inside his livery cab, Julian Martinez, a 30-year veteran of the business, was threatened and shot as he was just starting out his day on Sunday. On Monday, he remained at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, recuperating after two bullets struck him.

A goateed gunman was caught on surveillance tape moments before shooting the livery-cab driver in the Bronx, police said.

The thug first whipped out a gun and threatened driver Raphael Martinez, 54, in his cab around 5:10 a.m. at White Plains Road and Lafayette Avenue in the Soundview section, authorities said.

He then fired off five bullets, striking Martinez twice, police said.
