Juan Williams: Stomping on Jesus can “inspire critical thinking”

Font Size:

I realize that Juan Williams gets paid a lot of money to defend liberal silliness while denying it’s silly or liberal. But this is ridiculous.

You’ve probably heard about the student at Florida Atlantic University who complained about a class exercise where he was told to write the word “Jesus” on a piece of paper and stomp on it. He has now been suspended. And that’s as it should be, according to Williams (the audio is really low, so you might need headphones):

Williams says it would be equally valid if you replaced the name “Jesus” with “Mohammed.” Okay then, how about… “Obama”? Would that be okay? Would Williams say it “inspired critical thinking”? I can’t imagine any college professor making students literally stomp on Obama. The professor would be the one going out the door.

As usual, MKH is right: You don’t have the right to not be offended, but you do have the right to make your views known. You do have the right to dissent.

Oh wait, I forgot. Dissent is only the highest form of patriotism when Republicans are in power, and/or when the organized religion against which you’re dissenting is Christianity. Never mind.
