Turns out it isn’t just coaches and fans who want Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III to take care of himself on the football field.

President Obama wants the young star to keep healthy, too.

The two most important men in D.C. met up at the Washington NCAA Tournament Regionals this weekend where the president reportedly offered some encouragement and advice.

With RGIII coming off of reconstructive knee surgery, Obama provided some “wise words” according to Griffin’s Twitter page.

Griffin led the Redskins to the NFC East division crown in 2012 and is on the road to recovery as Washington sports fans, and Barack Obama, hold their collective breaths hoping that RGIII will come back at full strength this year.
