Turkish riot vansare like elephants: They never forget.
In a video that appeared today on You Tube, an irate protester, first mocked and then in a fit of rage, decided to deliver a flying kick to a Turkish riot van. While the riot van appeared less than perturbed by the slight, it ended up helping him on his way.
The unrest in Turkey began over the proposed demolition of the local Gezi park in Istanbul as part of a redevelopment plan. What began as a peaceful protest has now swelled into one numbering in the thousands spreading as far as the capital Ankara. Turkish authorities have arrested at least 60 demonstrators. Some serious injuries were reported after Turkish police fired tear gas canisters and hit demonstrators.
