Who is Sabine Lisicki? She is none other than the German who ended Serena Williams’ long winning streak, her Grand Slam winning streak and knocked the top seed, world No. 1 and defending champion out of Wimbledon today.

The face of a winner.

In an after-match interview Williams said, “I didn’t play the big points good enough. I didn’t do what I do best.”

Lisicki who was visibly excited, told the BBC, “I’m still shaking,”I’m just so happy.” And she should be.

It was one of Wimbledon great upsets, one week after Rafael Nadal was knocked by Steve Darcis, ranked 135th, in the first round.

At least it wasn’t the first round for Serena. Now maybe she and Sharapova can bond over their mutual loss to the same player.

The face of a loser.
