Tennis hottie Agnieszka Radwanska recently lost her gig as a Catholic group spokeswoman after the group took issue with her posing nude for ESPN.
The Polish-Catholic organization Krucjata Mlodych, which translates to Youth Crusade, released a statement regarding its decision to drop the sexy sports star.
“Personally I am very sorry that someone declaring herself to be on the side of Jesus has at the same time played up to the mentality of those who treat people as just a thing to be looked at,” group representative Father Mark Dziewiecki said.
The 2013 Wimbledon semifinalist shed her tennis uniform and went poolside for ESPN The Magazine’s “Body Issue,” a lengthy spread of several notable athletes posing au naturel. This year’s list included San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepaernick, U.S. volleyball medalist Kerri Walsh Jennings and 77-year-old golf pro Gary Player.
Radwanska has yet to ask forgiveness for participating in the the photo shoot, though she has received support from Polish officials. Ryszard Czarnecki, a conservative Polish politician and member of the European Parliament, took to Twitter to offer his take on the matter.
“[She is] a pretty girl – slim and efficient,” Czarnecki tweeted. “And you, are you jealous?”
