Footage showing the full scale of the August 14th riots in Cairo is emerging and appears to show the indiscriminate shooting of civilians by the Egyptian military.

In a clip posted to LiveLeak.com, a man is seen helping carry an injured youth before he is gunned down.

Violence erupted yesterday when the Army moved in to clear two encampments of ousted president Morsi’s supporters. As the Islamist violence flowed into the suburbs of Cairo, Coptic Christian churches where torched while an Egyptian police station was ransacked and the officers on duty killed.

The Egyptian Health Ministry originally claimed that fewer than 150 people had died in the fighting between the Islamists and government forces. Other reports put that figure over 500. Pictures posted online show the violence of the crackdown.
