I don’t know what makes me happier: the image of that murdering lunatic being forcibly shaved, as regulated by the military he chose to join, or the howls of outrage that are sure to come.
The Killeen Daily Herald reports:
Nidal Hasan, the former U.S. Army officer convicted and sentenced to death for the 2009 Fort Hood shooting, has been forcibly shaved.
Hasan, 42, was flown Friday to Fort Leavenworth, Kan., where he has been placed on death row.
On Tuesday, Lt. Col. S. Justin Platt, a spokesman for the Army at the Pentagon, said that all inmates at the disciplinary barracks at the Army base must meet military regulations for appearance…
Hasan first appeared in court with a beard in 2012. It drew ire from the then-presiding judge in his capital murder case, leading to the judge banning him from the court and holding him in contempt several times.
So the judge got thrown out. Completely ridiculous.
Now Hasan will look nice and dapper for his 72 virgins, whenever the Army gets around to giving him the needle.* You’d think he’d be grateful! But no…
A civilian lawyer who represented Nidal Hasan, the Army psychiatrist sentenced to death for the murders of 13 people and who fought to wear a beard during his trial in keeping with his Muslim faith, said he plans to sue the military after his client was forcibly shaved upon arrival at the military brig in Ft. Leavenworth, Kan.
“Forcibly shaving him after a military council approved the beard for the duration of the trial smacks of retaliation by Army officials. This was a vindictive act,” Hasan’s former civilian lawyer John Galligan told ABCNews.com on Wednesday.
No, a vindictive act would be stapling a pound of bacon to Hasan’s forehead and then kicking him to death. This act was the Army finally enforcing its own regulations. About time.
This bastard shot 14 people. Including a pregnant woman, as she begged for her baby’s life. And now his lawyer is whining about his stupid beard. But then, he’s a lawyer.

*I assume it won’t be a firing squad or anything fun like that, right? That would be inhumane.
