The U.S. and Canadian women’s hockey teams are not immune to the lure of the hallmark of any good hockey game: an all-out brawl on the ice.
In an exhibition game in Vermont on Saturday, the women let fists fly as the Canadian team won 3-2.
It began when American Monique Lamoureux slammed in Canadian goalie Shannon Szabados, Yahoo Sports reports. Canadian team member Courtney Birchard put Lamoureaux in a headlock, leading Lamoureaux’s twin sister to come join the melee.
All players involved were given roughing minor penalties. See how brutal the girls can get for yourself.
