Tiger Woods made a stop in Istanbul on Tuesday as part of his tour circuit to hit a ball from Europe into Asia. The stunt happened on the Bosphorus Bridge, which spans the two continents.
Locals were upset because the bridge was shut down during one of the heaviest times for traffic, The Telegraph reports. But Woods doesn’t care because he’ll be playing in the Turkish Airlines World Golf Final during this week, earning $2.4 million.
It’s a pretty kitchy stunt for a respected golfer, but it’s hard to refuse when tied into that paycheck.
