Just in time for the holidays, Roxanne Jones, founding editor of ESPN The Magazine and CEO of Push Media Strategies, is declaring that she wants her college-age son to practice safe sex. And we’re talking some SERIOUSLY safe sex as she wants him  to have the woman provide written consent before coitus can begin.

Among other things, Jones wants her son to avoid being accused of rape.

The story appeared on CNN.com late Tuesday afternoon. Even CNNers were a little aghast by it. “Imagine a guy saying to you — ‘Hey, I’ll sleep with you, but I need you to TEXT ME consent first.’ Hmmm,” tweeted CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin.

Jones points out that most parents give their kids a talking to about grades and parties. But her? No way. She filled her son’s duffle bag with 300 condoms. The best line might be Jones’ opener as she warns her son to stay away from stupid party girls. But, hey, aren’t those stupid party the ones who might want to have sex with her son?  “Watch out for the stupid girls,” Jones writes in her lede. “They are trouble.”

As an aside: Looking up pictures with the search words “college” and “sex” and “parties” is not a good idea.
