The New York Times corrected an article Sunday that originally referred to Politico as a “biweekly newsletter.”
The characterization appeared in the Times’ “Sunday Book Review” of “Double Down,” a book on the 2012 presidential campaigns by writers Mark Halperin and John Heilemann.
That review was published on Nov. 10.
On Sunday — nearly a month later — the Times issued the following correction:
Correction: December 1, 2013
A review on Nov. 10 about “Double Down,” an account of the 2012 presidential campaign by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann, referred incorrectly to the printed edition of Politico. It is a newspaper about politics that is published five times weekly when Congress is in session; it is not a “biweekly newsletter.”
Politico, based in suburban Virginia, employs over 280 people who make up both a website and a quint-weekly free newspaper distributed on Capitol Hill.
Reached for comment, a spokeswoman for Politico did not immediately indicate whether Politico sought the Times’ correction.
