Jack-of-all trades LeBron James is now taking his talents to the big screen.

The Miami Heat all-star he will be starring alongside Kevin Hart in the comedy (or “laffer,” to use Variety jargon) “Ballers.” Hart, who is 5’3″, will be playing a character perpetually in the shadow of his NBA-playing brother who decides to go to adult basketball fantasy camp to get his mojo back.

The film was initially thought up in 2008, but development stopped in 2010, around the same time James aired the melodramatically announced his move to Miami on ESPN. The pause in the movie’s production, however, though was not connected to LeBron’s decision to join the Heat, reports ESPN.

Filming is scheduled to start next summer in Miami, four years after it was supposed to begin in Las Vegas. James’ fellow Heat teammate Dwayne Wade also recently announced he would be producing and helping create a show based on his parenting experiences called “3 the hard way,” (SEE RELATED: Dwyane Wade is making a sitcom about his life.)

Will Chris Bosh next announce he is going to write and star in a Broadway musical?
