Former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann rang in the New Year with a series of scathing tweets dissing the network after one of its shows made an innocent child the punchline of a cruel joke.

Olbermann’s tweet was the latest in a series of media eruptions following a Sunday segment where guests on an MSNBC show hosted by Melissa Harris-Perry mocked former Republican Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney for adopting a black grandchild.
“One of these things is not like the other,” sang one female guest as the screen displayed a picture of the Romney clan. Another male guest sneered that the picture of the smiling family filled with happy children “really reflected the diversity of the Republican Party.”
“Can you imagine Mitt Romney and Kanye West as in-laws?” Harris-Perry asked. (RELATED: CNN slams Harris-Perry for attack on Romney’s black grandchild)
Olbermann declared he would have abstained from the merry sport of mocking mixed-race families with his liberal colleagues.

He continued by skillfully juggling his grudges while slamming his former employer.
