Last night I walked to my local grocery store here in DC, and as I was crossing the street — with the Walk signal, inside the crosswalk — once again a car turned right in front of me. The best part? It was Metro PD. At least this time I didn’t get a shattered knee and a fraudulent jaywalking ticket. Or any other injuries.
This is why I don’t leave the house.
