The New Orleans Pelicans are not having such a hot run with their mascots. When they changed their name to the pelicans at the beginning of the 2013 season, they unveiled a mascot that seemed to come straight out of nightmares.

Pierre the pelican sparked enough confusion and outrage that he got a makeover to a more stuffed animal version of the bird.

With the initial mascot drama, you’d think that the team would be very careful choosing supporting mascots. It seems someone missed the memo, though, with their latest showing.
Finding the baby in a king cake may be a Mardi Gras tradition, but the baby the team had at their Monday night game was anything but cute. While they hosted the Los Angeles Clippers, they let loose this monstrosity.
