Brzezinksi is a hard name to spell, even for Mika ‘Brrzezinksi’

No doubt about it, Brzezinksi is a hard name to spell. It’s impossible to count how many journalists have butchered the name. But one person who shouldn’t be shredding it is someone who also possesses it. That would be MSNBC “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinksi, who has been dealt the burden of living with that strange “z” placement after a consonant her whole life.

And now, today, she’s spelled her own name wrong.

In the process of promoting a report by Ian Brzezinksi (ahem, her BROTHER) for the Atlantic Council on “Four Steps Nato can Take to Support Ukraine”  [sic, the site has bizarre capitalization styles], she spelled his name (and her own) as follows:

Ian Brzezinksi is a resident senior fellow with the Brent Scowcroft Center on International Security and a former deputy assistant secretary of defense for Europe and NATO policy. We can only imagine the sweeping resentment this Brzezinksi feels toward the other over the misspelling of their family surname.

But who can blame her? She was out late last night with her MSNBC co-host Joe Scarborough at Graydon Carter‘s Vanity Fair Oscar party, the it after party of the Hollywood movie stars. See them above with TV producer and writer Larry David. They were there with their rep Ari Emanuel, brother to Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Zeke Emanuel, one of the architects of President Obama‘s health care law.
