There are advantages and disadvantages to height.
In a photographic display of just how tall NBC “TODAY Show” host Savannah Guthrie is, we see how she compares to Shakira, the petite singer and judge from ABC’s The Voice. Guthrie looks like a giant. Shakira is reduced to fun-size.
Here we see her on the plaza with the singer. Savannah gushes on Twitter, “Aaaaaaand just hanging with @shakira like we always do #ShakiraTODAY #loveher.”
Guthrie’s height was rumored to have upset show producers, who, in the summer of 2012, reportedly ordered her out of her heels and told her to go barefoot lest she appear taller than her sort of dickish and shorter co-host Matt Lauer. She is 5’10” but well over 6′ in heels. Lauer, meanwhile, is 5’11, and Shakira is 5’2″.
