Here’s a fun piece of gossip that involves two very rich dudes arguing about politics from the Las Vegas Review-Journal: If you go to dinner with George Clooney and you plan on insulting his “longtime friend” Barack Obama, just don’t.

According to the Journal, Clooney and billionaire casino mogul Steve Wynn got into a drunken argument during a recent group dinner at Botero, one of the restaurant’s at Wynn’s Encore resort.

Wynn said that Clooney was drunk off tequila shots when he hurled an F-bomb and stormed out of the restaurant.

But according to Clooney’s statement to the Journal: “[Wynn] called the president an asshole … that is a fact … I said the President was my longtime friend and then he said ‘your friend is an asshole.’ … At that point I told Steve that HE was an asshole and I wasn’t going to sit at his table while he was being such a jackass.”

Clooney continued: “And I walked out. There were obviously quite a few more adjectives and adverbs used by both of us. Those are all the facts. It had nothing to do with politics and everything to do with character.”

Wynn said that he interjected after Clooney started talking about Obamacare, which sounds like a really fun dinner conversation topic.

“[Clooney] sat down and started talking about the Affordable Care Act, and that’s when I spoke up,” Wynn told the Journal. “He didn’t like that either. I think my discussion about the Affordable Care Act was the straw that broke the camel’s back.”

Wynn added: “When he’s drinking, he considers himself a close personal buddy of the president.”

“Clooney’s fun to be with when he’s sober,” Wynn warned of the actor’s drinking habits. “If you have a chance to drink with him, you want to get there early, and don’t stay late.”
