Shooting at Jews while hiding behind children might fool some people. And then one of those people might pester a celebrity into saying something unfortunate on-camera.
Joan Rivers has said she has no sympathy for the plight of the Palestinians in Gaza, declaring they ‘deserve to be dead’.
The 81-year-old comedian launched a furious rant outside a Los Angeles airport, saying that the Palestinians who do not leave their homes are ‘idiots’ and that ‘at least the ones that were killed were the ones with very low IQs’.
Rivers, the daughter of Russian-Jewish immigrants, later released a statement where she claimed her words were taken out of context, but that she stood behind what she had said.
Pretty harsh, even for Joan Rivers.
This isn’t the sort of thing that’s going to change anybody’s mind. Hamas is waging a propaganda war, safe in the knowledge that their supporters won’t blame them for deliberately putting their own children in harm’s way. Those kids don’t deserve to die, and they’re dead because the cowards who are supposed to protect them are using them as shields. Outbursts like this just obscure that reality.
And then there’s the fact that the same guy giving the world this death toll also thinks Jews use the blood of Christians to bake matzo. So he might not be the most trustworthy source.
