The Islamic State has apparently beheaded American journalist James Wright Foley, a freelancer from Boston, and threatened to execute another journalist if President Barack Obama doesn’t stop bombing Iraq.

In a video first seen on Twitter and obtained by The Daily Caller, a man who appears to be Foley delivers a message to America and to his family. A man masked in black then beheads him on camera.

The identity of the man in the video has not been confirmed, and it technically could have been staged.

Foley and three other journalists were abducted in Libya in 2011, but he was later released. Then Foley was abducted by unidentified gunmen in Syria on Thanksgiving day in 2012.

At the end of the video, another man is indicated as the next victim. He appears to be Steven Joel Soltoff, who worked for TIME, and was abducted in a similar manner in August 2013. His fate, the video claims, depends on Obama’s “next decision.”

Freelancer Austin Tice is another journalist who disappeared in similar circumstances. He has not been heard from since August, 2012, when he was kidnapped while reporting from Syria.
