Fox News host Andrea Tantaros put the savage beheading of American journalist James Foley in perspective on Wednesday, explaining that Islamic fundamentalists “have been doing this for hundreds and hundreds of years.”
A furious “Outnumbered” panel ranted against fighters from the ultra-violent Islamic State, which on Tuesday released a video showing the brutal decapitation of Foley in response to a limited air campaign against the terrorists in Iraq.
“They do this to people every day,” Harris Faulker noted. “They did to the Yazidis as they were moving up on that mountaintop, before we got their with our firepower.”
“They’re doing this to Christians, they’re doing this to Yazidis,” Fox contributor Pete Hegseth agreed. “Yazidi women in prison today, being forcibly married and raped. This is ongoing.”
“This is an American journalist so it gets attention,” he continued. “Men and women and children, Muslims, Christians and others, are beheaded on a daily basis by this group.”
“And they’ve been doing this for hundreds and hundreds of years!” Tantaros exclaimed. “If you study the history of Islam, our ship captains were getting murdered. The French had to tip us off. I mean, these are the days of Thomas Jefferson.”
“This isn’t a surprise,” she continued. “You can’t solve it with a dialogue. You can’t solve it with a summit. You solve it with a bullet to the head. That’s the only thing these people understand.”
Tantaros also took aim at President Obama’s response to the Islamic fundamentalism now setting the world ablaze.
“All we’ve heard from this president is the case to heap praise on this religion, as if to appease them,” she accused. “His Cairo speech, his remarks from last Memorial Day saying that we have a shared history of tolerance. Instead of making the case against this threat that is never going to stop.”
“He has been wrong about this threat,” she asserted. “He hasn’t just ignored it. He has been fundamentally wrong. He misled the nation about it.”
