U2 frontman Bono and Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed U2’s first album in five years, “Songs of Innocence,” at Apple’s launch event Tuesday, where the pair announced the album will be given away for free to all iTunes users until October.

The band closed out the press event with a new single from the album before Cook joined Bono on stage, where the two announced the partnership promotion. U2 has been frequently featured in Apple music products and iTunes marketing for the last 10 years.
