If you’re planning on picking up an iPhone 6 or 6 Plus Friday, it’s probably not a good idea to leave the store without a case to go with it (especially if you’re this kid).
PhoneBuff just gave both version’s of Apple’s new smartphone a pretty standard drop test from average walking height onto concrete from the back, side and front, and the results are a little surprising.

As PhoneBuff points out in the video, it looks like the iPhone 6’s near-seamless design may have left the phones vulnerable to impact damage — especially on the sides, where the drops appear to have not only cracked the screens, but pushed them out from the edges of the devices.
It looks like a case with some solid edge protection is a mandatory accessory for the iPhone 6.
