Silicon Valley technology mogul Peter Thiel says he thinks the missing emails from Lois Lerner and other IRS officials are still out there.

“I suspect they still exist somewhere,” Thiel said when asked about the emails on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo.” (RELATED: IRS: Five More Employees Lost Emails In Computer Crashes)

“It’s certainly possible that there’s somewhere in this vast data file where it’s almost impossible to find them,” he continued. “But I suspect they still exist. But, yes, we live in this world where if you say something bad or you’ve done something bad, there is a permanent trail.”

Thiel, a billionaire entrepreneur who founded such companies as PayPal and Palantir and was one of the first outside investors in Facebook, is out with a new book, “Zero To One: Notes On Startups, Or How To Build The Future.”

The Daily Caller will feature its own extensive interview with Thiel later this week.
