Not just one, but TWO English teachers at Destrehan High School in the town of Destrehan, La., have now been arrested for having sex with the same 16-year-old male student — at the same time.

At a Wednesday press conference, local police announced that the teachers, Shelley S. Dufresne and Rachel Respess participated in a threesome with the student, reports New Orleans ABC affiliate WGNO(RELATED: English Teacher Arrested For Totally Victimizing 16-Year-Old Male Student By Banging Him)

The student, who is now 17, allegedly engaged in a couple of trysts with one or both of the teachers earlier this fall, explains the St. Charles Herald Guide.

St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s deputies say the threesome happened on a Friday night, after a high school football game (which Destrehan won easily, 41-7).

Law enforcement officials believe both encounters occurred at Respess’s home in the suburban town of Kenner.

Dufresne, 33, and Respess, 23, both face felony charges of carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

Dufresne is the student’s English teacher this year. Respress had the pleasure of teaching him in English class last year.

The sheriff’s office was tipped off after school officials reported that the unidentified student was bragging to friends about his exploits. (RELATED: English Teacher Arrested For Totally Victimizing 16-Year-Male Student By Banging Him)

Both teachers are alumnae of Destrehan High and both graduated from Louisiana State University.

Dufresne is married and, according to her Destrehan High webpage, is a 10-year veteran at the school. She has “three beautiful children.”

Her father is 29th Judicial District Judge Emile St. Pierre, notes The Times-Picayune.

Respess has been an English teacher at Destrehan High for two years.

St. Charles Parish school board member Al Suffrin lamented the threesome.

“It gives the district a black eye. It is obviously something we don’t like to see happen because it is a distraction,” Suffrin told the Herald Guide. “It gets in the way of what our core business is.”

Michael Glaser, the police chief in Kenner, insisted that the fact that the student involved in the threesome was a 16-year-old male makes no difference.

“Everyone should be outraged,” the police chief said, according to WGNO. “You have an educator, I guess, the responsibility is the safety and education of the children and when it goes outside those lines I believe the community should be outraged.”

The school district has suspended both Dufresne and Respess without pay.
