It’s rare to see a Ferrari lose a race, let alone to car traditionally far below its performance class. Yet despite the legendary luxury supercar’s status and higher factory specs, that’s exactly what happened when this V12, 651-horsepower FF went up against a V8, twin turbo, 560-horsepower BMW M5 F10.

After the rolling start, the autos stay neck and neck before the M5 starts gaining asphalt, stealing a significant lead before topping out its 156 m.p.h. electronic limiter.

As Yahoo and YouTubers point out, the M5 may have undergone some under-the-hood wizardry to pull off such a feat, though GTBOARD.com disagrees.

“It’s a rolling start so Ferrari’s traction advantage is [negligible]. Also, the torque figure of the BMW [502 lb-ft] is nearly identical to the FF [504 lb-ft].
