It’s Halloween, and to celebrate the holiday, former Redskins linebacker LaVar Arrington dressed as All-Pro Defensive End J.J. Watt.

Twitter blew-up over Arrington’s costume and his controversial use of what may or may not have been white face, reports Barstool Sports. Arrington responded to the criticism in the following way.
Just so it's clear I have lighter makeup not white face, cosmetic for the blood on my nose to show up better. It clearly isn't white makeup

I don’t pretend to be a makeup expert, but it kind of looks like Arrington got caught in a lie on this one. It follows logically that if you take white makeup and apply it to your face, then you have in fact put on whiteface. Call it whatever you want, but if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it’s probably a duck.
Silly to even make a fun moment racial I explained it already enjoy the show

Sorry LaVar, but this is America. Everything is always about race, especially when you don’t want it to be.
As a white man, I was not offended by Arrington’s costume. In fact, I thought it was hilarious. However, I am offended at Arrington’s backpedaling in trying to cover up his mistake.
On a side note, this chick also dressed up as J.J. Watt for Halloween. I like her version more.
