The friendly fire continues to flow in President Obama’s direction.

Following the Democrats drubbing in Tuesday’s midterm election, many have aimed their ire at President Obama, with the latest being Sen. Joe Manchin.

According to a new Time Magazine piece, the West Virginia Democrat believes that even though Obama may be “bright” and a well-versed public speaker, “people just don’t believe he cares, that’s the disconnect that I’m seeing.”

“There’s an old saying my grandmother would say, people don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care,” Manchin told TIME. “And the President is bright and very articulate and speaks very well. People just don’t believe he cares. That’s the disconnect that I’m seeing.”

Manchin, one of the more conservative members of the Senate, also told Time he plans to help get the the Keystone Pipeline passed with the new GOP controlled Senate in charge, while also looking to raise the Obamacare workweek to 40 hours per week, up from 30 hours.
