On Tuesday night, the Lakers beat the Hawks and collected their second win of the season.

Yadda, yadda, yadda. Lakers are bad. Hawks are bad. Nobody cares.

I’m writing this post for one reason.

WATCH:

No, your eyes aren’t playing tricks on you. That was 6’2″ guard Jeff Teague jumping out of his shoes and posterizing 6’10” center Jordan Hill. AND he took off from the free-throw line. No biggie.

Dominique Wilkins. Spud Webb. When you play for the Hawks, you better be able to jam.

The Hawks have been floundering between bad and mediocre for as long as I can remember. As an Atlanta native, I can only hope that Teague & Co. can lead “Atlanta’s Air Force” out of the doldrums that is the Eastern Conference’s 8th seed and into the promised land of a second round playoff series.
