NBC reporter Luke Russert tweeted Tuesday that the “Kamikaze Caucus is alive & barking” following the re-election of Speaker of the House John Boehner. He was referring to the 25 representatives who rebelled against Boehner.
Boehner wins Speakership for 3rd term in light of 25 #GOP defections. Never in doubt but the Kamikaze Caucus is alive & barking

Many conservatives called out Russert for his depiction of conservatives unhappy with Boehner..

You don't have to be a Gohmert Republican to think this is a pretty inappropriate characterization for a reporter https://t.co/BgcqkpgDuf

However you feel about the #Speaker race, this type of "commentary" from a "journalist" is unacceptable. https://t.co/cIRqvwrQsf
