Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan arrived in Buffalo on Tuesday and was welcomed with pizza, beer and hockey.

Ryan received a sicilian pizza pie from La Nova Pizzeria that read, “Welcome Rex.” CBS Sports’ NFL Writer Will Brinson did some tremendous reporting by calling La Nova and finding out that the “Welcome Rex” was written in ricotta cheese dyed blue and red with spinach in the middle.

Later Tuesday evening, Ryan and Bills’ Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly went to the Big Tree Inn in Orchard Park, New York to grab a cold one before the Buffalo Sabres’ game against the Detroit Red Wings.

Ryan took in the Sabres game with former Jets’ defensive coordinator Dennis Thurman, who is expected to be named the Bills’ defensive coordinator, according to NFL Network reporter Kimberly Jones.

So far, Ryan has been embraced and loved in Buffalo, but let’s see if that holds up when he starts guaranteeing victories and Super Bowls like he did with the Jets.
