Matt Lauer Calls Out ‘Liberal New York Times’ For Article Painting GOP As Anti-Vaccine [VIDEO]

NBC’s “Today Show” host Matt Lauer called out the “liberal” New York Times for an op-ed tying anti-vaccine beliefs to the Republican Party, saying that liberals were just as likely to hold anti-vaccination beliefs. Lauer called the debate over vaccines “The New York Times — the liberal New York Times — puts it this way in an article this morning: ‘The vaccination controversy is a twist on an old problem for the Republican Party. how to approach matters that have been largely settled among scientists but are not widely accepted among conservatives.'” (RELATED: A Dozen Parisians Dead: RADICAL MUSLIMS Hit Hardest, Says New York Times)

“Even as I read this Chuck, let’s make this clear,” he said, “this does not break down neatly between the right and the left. There are pockets of liberal affluent America where parents don’t want their kids vaccinated.”

“That’s right,” agreed guest Chuck Todd. “And I think that the pockets in California, some of this is more of a liberal point of view.”
