New details have emerged about the arrest of Larry Reid — Sen. Harry Reid’s younger brother.

Two days after news of the arrest broke, new details suggest Larry Reid punched an police officer twice, cursed out the officer, and drove while under the influence.

Larry Reid, 73, was found sitting inside his Lexus SUV shortly after noon on Monday after driving along the median of Highway 95 near Searchlight, Nev.

According to the police report, per KTNV, the officer asked Reid why he was driving in the median. The younger Reid responded with “incoherent, slurred speech,” and the officer suspected that “Reid was under the influence of an intoxicant or experiencing a medical episode.”

After the officer tried talking to the Senate minority leader’s brother, “Reid said ‘fuck you’ and put the SUV into gear.”

The trooper then ordered Reid to stop the SUV before reaching inside to put the car into park. According to the report, Reid punched the officer in the face twice. Finally, the officer was able to pull the keys from car’s ignition and subdue Reid.

Later on, an EMT “detected an odor of alcohol coming from Reid,” and found a 6-shot revolver behind the center console.

Following the incident, Reid reportedly had no recollection of the arrest.

Reid was charged with misdemeanor DUI, battery of a police officer, driving across a median, failure to obey an officer, not wearing a seatbelt and possession of a gun while under the influence of alcohol.

According to Fox News, no court date had been set as of yet.

In a statement released by Sen. Reid’s office, according to KTNV, “Larry Reid is Senator Reid’s brother and this is a private matter.”
