The Ohio State Buckeyes traveled to Happy Valley on Wednesday for a Big 10 match-up with conference rival Penn State.

Twenty-eight points from freshman D’Angelo Russell helped the Buckeyes claim a 77-67 victory, but the game’s most exciting play came courtesy of Sam Thompson.

The Ohio State forward scored his first points of the game in a way I’ve never seen before.

This could be a game-changer. It might not have as big of an impact as the addition of the 3-point line, but it’s easily as significant as the time Jackie Moon and Coffee Black connected for the first alley-oop in ABA history.
