Colonial Medical Group has invited Huffington to Bermuda in April to speak about the stress that ultimately led to her NYT bestselling book Thrive — The Third Metric to Redefining Success and Creating a Life of Well-Being, Wisdom, and Wonder. She’ll speak at two events, according to a report in Bernews, a local pub.

Huffington brought the Virgin Pulse wellness program to HuffPost offices. Virgin Pulse, part of Sir Richard Branson‘s Virgin Group, is an alternative health offering that addresses physical, emotional, social and financial aspects of life. Programs including tracking what you eat and monitoring your sleep. It also addresses stress, relationships and focus — i.e. no multi-tasking. (No doubt, Arianna’s reporters like Sam Stein and Ryan Grim never multi-task and find time to hang out in the infamous HuffPost hammocks and sleep rooms.)

Naz Farrow, Colonial’s ICOO, told Bernews that he’s especially excited for Huffington’s visit. Why wouldn’t he be pumped? Huffington pushes a health program he’s selling to consumers. And now she’s giving back by coming to Bermuda to speak at the company’s conference. What a phenomenal deal.

“To say that I, personally, am excited about her visit is a vast understatement and I think this is tremendously exciting for the people of Bermuda,” Farrow said. “In terms of health, she is a supporter of the Virgin Pulse programme, something that we offer to our Premier Health clients.”

Tickets to the April 11 event are only for Colonial Medical Group’s health insurance clients.

After March 21, they’ll be up for grabs.
