Donald Trump has made no bones about it: he’s not a fan of Hillary Clinton.
In a Thursday night tweet sent from Trump’s Twitter account to his nearly 3 million followers, Trump quoted a Twitter user questioning how a Hillary Clinton presidency could “satisfy America” if she is unable to “satisfy her husband.”
The post was deleted soon after, but not before TheDC screengrabbed the tweet in question
The original tweet Trump quoted, which was flagged by TPM, came from Sawyer Burmeister, an equestrian champion. Burmeister made it known in subsequent apology tweets that it was a “political joke,” while telling those she offended to “get some rest.”
The Daily Caller reached out to a Trump spokesperson for comment, but received no response by the time this story was published.
UPDATE:
A spokesperson for The Donald responded with the following comment:
“Mr. Trump was not responsible for this tweet. It was retweeted by one of ten staff members that periodically help execute on Mr. Trump’s various social media platforms. As soon as Mr. Trump saw the tweet he deleted it.”
