Can college students at one of America’s top taxpayer-funded universities identify former President Ronald Reagan?
Media Research Center TV reporter Dan Joseph ventured onto the campus of the University of Maryland, College Park to find out.
The results are pretty sad.
Joseph spoke randomly to about 15 passing students, he told The Daily Caller. Perhaps one-third recognized America’s most famous tax-cutting, communism-destroying 40th president fairly quickly.
Another student got close, suggesting that perhaps Reagan was “some kind of president.”
The rest of the students were either totally flummoxed or gave a wildly wrong guess. Some guesses included John Wayne, Kenny Rogers and some guy named Fred Moore.
