More money is better than less money. Everybody knows that. Therefore, we must force businesses to pay their employees a certain amount of money, or none at all. That way, everybody wins.

It may be one of the first casualties of Seattle’s new minimum wage law. The owner of Z Pizza says she’s being forced to close her doors, because she can’t afford the higher labor costs…
Ritu Shah Burnham doesn’t want to go out of business, but says she can’t afford the city’s mandated wage hikes.
“I’ve let one person go since April 1, I’ve cut hours since April 1, I’ve taken them myself because I don’t pay myself,” she says. “I’ve also raised my prices a little bit, there’s no other way to do it.”
Yeah, sure she doesn’t want to close down her business. She just wants to keep all those profits to herself! That’s why she’s, um… no longer making a profit at all.
Fortunately, her 11 workers who are out of job will be able to find new employment, at $15 an hour, because Utopia.
You know who this really hurts? All those couples trying to plan their gay weddings. Thanks again, wingnuts.
