Jerry Seinfeld To Millennials: Yadda Yadda Yadda

Font Size:

If you’re sick of people whining at you for noting basic facts that are suddenly taboo — men and women are different, and that’s okay; an accusation of rape is, by itself, insufficient evidence of guilt; sometimes, things you don’t like aren’t actually racism; Bruce Jenner is a man, baby — you’re not alone.

Jerry Seinfeld was on ESPN Radio the other day, and he was asked about these kids today and their social justice. The Hollywood Reporter:

“I don’t play colleges, but I hear a lot of people tell me, ‘Don’t go near colleges. They’re so PC,'” said Seinfeld.

He continued, “I’ll give you an example: My daughter’s 14. My wife says to her, ‘Well, you know, in the next couple years, I think maybe you’re going to want to be hanging around the city more on the weekends, so you can see boys.’ You know what my daughter says? She says, ‘That’s sexist.'”

Seinfeld said college students don’t understand racism and sexism. “They just want to use these words: ‘That’s racist;’ ‘That’s sexist;’ ‘That’s prejudice[d].’ They don’t even know what the f—k they’re talking about.”

Case in point: Clint Eastwood made a lighthearted Bruce Jenner joke at some awards show, and it’s being cut from the broadcast. Clint called the guy by his new name and everything, just like we’re all being scolded to do, but that doesn’t matter. Jenner himself probably would’ve found it amusing, or harmless at worst, but that doesn’t matter.

You can’t just tolerate designated victims. You must applaud them. You must stand up and cheer. If you can muster up a single tear rolling down your cheek as you do so, you’re an American hero.

Celebrate diversity. Do and say what you’re told.

Hat tip to Ace, who notes:

Uh-oh. He used the R-word. GET HIM!!!
