Matt Buck just set the bar HIGH for tuba players across the country.
Well, more specifically sousaphonists, but I’m extending this conversation to cover all members of the lower-brass family, for your information.
According to the Charleston City Paper, Buck — a former University of South Carolina performance musician — wanted to show his disapproval for the Confederate Flag rally taking place in Columbia, SC on Saturday. He did so in the most creative way possible: by serenading the participants — including members of the KKK and Detroit-based National Socialist Movement Party — with a little accompanying background music.

“A few people had a few things to say, but nobody really confronted me or anything,” Buck later said. “My goal was to embarrass them, and I think I did a little bit.”
I think they probably got the message.
