Police suspect a serial killer may be on the loose after the second horribly dismembered body was found in Niagara Falls, N.Y.

More than 90 police officers are going door to door to investigate a gruesome death in what police are calling “the largest mission of its kind in the history of Niagara Falls” KVIA reports.

Terri Bills, 49, was found headless and without feet or arms in a vacant house. Authorities called the death “shocking to the conscience” and said it could be the work of a serial killer.

Police say the serial killer could be responsible for this death and the strangely similar death of Loretta Gates in 2012. Gates, 30, was found dead and dismembered, her body parts scattered around Niagara Falls.

“You can’t overlook that the two homicides share a lot of similarities,” Niagara Falls Police Capt. Kelly Rizzo told KVIA. “It is hard not to make that connection.”

In Ohio, authorities suspect there could be a serial killer after several young women have gone missing and been found dead. The investigation into both possible serial killers is ongoing.
